Four Seasons Mahjong Decoupage Glass Tray

Sixteen tiles, each a whisper of luck. Plum blossom and bamboo. Crane in mid-flight. The turning of spring into summer, summer into autumn, autumn into winter. This tray captures the poetry of Mahjong’s Four Seasons—symbols of renewal, patience, and quiet triumph—rendered in soft ivory and hand-tinted hues that feel lifted from an heirloom game table.

Handcrafted in our New York studio in the French tradition of decoupage, each tile is laid in reverse beneath glass so the colors glow with remarkable depth and clarity. The bent-glass form gives the piece a sculptural presence, while every tray is individually signed by Ben—an object as considered as the game itself.

Food-safe and wipe-clean with a felted back, it moves easily from cocktail hour to console table—cradling citrus wedges, holding correspondence, or displayed upright like a framed treasure from a collector’s cabinet. Each piece arrives with a folded card describing the centuries-old craft. A gift for Mahjong devotees, lovers of ritual, and anyone who believes luck favors the beautifully prepared.
